Christopher has served as a literary agent since 1999, working with an incredible array of Christian authors, speakers and pastors.

Today he is focused on representing thought-provoking, life-changing and uplifting books from a variety of thought-leaders and world-changers. These are projects that seek to challenge the status quo in any number of arenas in our fast-changing world, lift up ideas that deserve your attention, or simply inspire you to be a better version of yourself.

Angela Scheff

Angela has worked in the publishing industry since 2000. For the first 10 years she worked as an Editor and then Associate Publisher at Zondervan, a Christian imprint of HarperCollins in Grand Rapids, Michigan, acquiring and editing a variety of well known authors. For the next five years, Angela became a freelancer, working with different Christian publishers, editors, and authors, in addition to focusing on her young family.

In 2015, Angela joined The Christopher Ferebee Agency to represent a select number of authors to help bring their voice, passion, and expertise to their readers. 

 
 

Jana Burson

Jana has 16+ years of experience working in the publishing industry. She started out in 2003 working publicity at Thomas Nelson Publishers. By 2005 she was the Director of Publicity for the Hachette Book Group, Nashville Division where she oversaw the orchestration and execution of campaigns for a large number of New York Times bestselling titles. Rounding out her experience prior to becoming a literary agent, Jana transitioned to Acquisitions Editor in 2010 for the Hachette Book Group and had the pleasure of acquiring and editing multiple bestselling authors. In 2014, Jana left Hachette and launched The Burson Agency, which has provided both literary agent services and various consulting services.

In 2016, Jana joined The Christopher Ferebee agency and is excited to continue representing inspiring and life-changing books from men and women that want to impact culture one heart at a time. 

 
 

JONATHAN Merritt

Jonathan has more than 15 years experience in the publishing industry as an award-winning author, a New York Times bestselling ghostwriter, and a literary agent. As a contributing writer for The Atlantic and the winner of four Wilbur Awards for excellence in journalism, Jonathan maintains a high standard for the quality of prose. He is particularly drawn to authors with established platforms who have ambitious, countercultural book ideas that challenge prevailing thinking.

Jonathan joined The Christopher Ferebee Agency in 2015 and resides in New York City. His favorite genres to acquire include spirituality, memoir, personal betterment, social change, pop culture, children’s books and business/leadership. In addition to agenting, Jonathan offers proposal development services to some clients.

 
 

CHRISTY FEREBEE

Christy serves the agency as an administrative assistant. Prior to joining her husband in the launch of the new agency in late 2011, Christy excelled as an interior designer and project manager for both residential and commercial clients, working alongside Peter Taylor Interior Design, E.M. Sumrall Interiors and PlainJoe Studios.
